A Blurred World
Three feet five inches of pain
Streaming out of orifices
That have no plug
Nor conscious control
Silhouettes of figures
Slur by, interfering with
Grief, wiping tears and
Giving unwanted charitable hugs
New world swirled together
Providing no memory of the past
And no path to the future
Only a confusingly painful present
A blurred world
Seen through the frightful and
Teary eyes of a child
Just enlightened by death
A dampened, unlightable candle
Roaming through darkness
Unable to shine its
Light to find its way
A darkness of the soul
Known only by the confines of a
Coffin, entombs the joy of a child
That lost the love for life.
